My Story
I'm London born but spent most of my teenage years soaking in the stunning landscapes of Dorset and Devon!
As a self-taught artist, I wear my O Level badge with pride—as a dyslexic it's the only one I achieved!
Throughout my life, I've painted amidst the hustle and bustle of demanding jobs, but in early fifties, I decided embrace my passion full-time from my own studio!
While I've experimented with various mediums, acrylics are my absolute favourite, allowing me to create everything from transparent washes to rich textures, always highlighted with Indian ink. Who says there are rules? If Picasso could break them, so can I!
Painting is a journey for me—sometimes challenging, but always rewarding. I've learned be patient and give myself the space come back to a piece when inspiration strikes. I'm constantly pushing my boundaries, often juggling several paintings at once to create dynamic series.
My work has homes in the UK and internationally, especially in the vibrant art scene of America! I love taking on exciting commission projects, whether it's creating whisky labels, with interior designers or contributing art to hospitals.
My routine is flexible; I paint whenever inspiration hits. Plus, with my new campervan and my adorable Dalmatian, Maddie, by my side, I'm always ready for an adventure!
